(and Burger Relish)

Simple huh? A huge taste improvement over simple mayonnaise and I LOVE mayonnaise! Can be put on burgers, served with chips (fries for our American cousins) or put in any sandwich that you damn well want.

Gear
- 1 chopping board
- Bowl
Garlic Mayo
Ingredients
- Mayonnaise
- Garlic
- Lemon juice
- Salt
- Pepper
Method
- Peel and smash your cloves of garlic then mince finely (3 cloves to a couple of tablespoons is a decent strength)
- Combine with mayonnaise and add salt, lemon juice and pepper to taste.
Variations
I have become a huge fan of making my own burger relish.
To the above recipe I add worcestershire sauce (pronounced Wuss-ter-sher sauce for our American friends that seem so endearingly, bafflingly and consistently incapable or nailing the pronounciation), chopped capers, chopped dill pickle, a bit of jalapeno brine, smoked paprika, some finely chopped spring onions (scallions) and a tiny, tiny background hint of cinammon.
Figure out your own ratios. It took me a while to find mine but it’s goooooood! This stuff can elevate a ‘meh’ burger to an ‘oooh’ burger just by gracing it with its presence.
